/Objectives

The Government of Punjab’s Bonded Labour Cell is funding the project, which aims
to contribute towards the elimination of bonded labour due to debt bondage
through various initiatives such as; a) provision of social services including
microfinance to the target beneficiaries b) ensuring beneficiaries’ access to
welfare services c) institutional interventions and d) research, publication and
mass awareness. PRSP’s role is the provision of interest free microfinance loans
to the bonded labour. For this purpose the Labour Department has provided Rs. 40
million to PRSP
